Heartbeat Monitoring

A monitoring method where the monitored system sends regular signals (pings) to the monitoring service to prove it is still alive.

Heartbeat monitoring (also known as passive monitoring or "dead man's switch") is the opposite of traditional monitoring.

How it Works

Instead of the monitor checking the server, the server pings the monitor. This is essential for monitoring Cron jobs, backups, and background tasks that don't have a public URL.
